Useful project photos can reduce guesswork before a Starlink installation. They do not replace an on-site assessment when one is needed, but they help an installer understand access, routing and property layout before arriving.
Photograph the whole building
Take wide photos from multiple sides so roof shape, eaves, trees, utility lines, additions and nearby structures can be understood together.
Show likely mounting areas
Include clear photos of the roof edge, fascia, wall or pole area you think may work. A close-up without surrounding context is less useful than a medium view that shows structure and clearance.
Show the route indoors
Photograph the likely cable entry area and the room where network equipment should be located. Include basement, utility-room or mechanical-room access if those spaces may be part of the route.
Show obstacles and detached buildings
Trees, grain bins, shops, barns, metal buildings and hills can affect both the Starlink view and the Wi-Fi/network plan. Wide property photos help identify those relationships.
Include existing network equipment
If the site already has a router, switch, rack, UPS or access points, photograph labels and the overall installation. That helps determine what can be reused and what should be reorganized.
